Claudia Vailant joined the Cooper Dual Language Academy staff in 2001 as a second grade teacher. Mrs. Vailant began her teaching career at Cooper and is now in her 14th year. One interesting fact about Mrs. Vailant is that she was a former student at Cooper and Orozco Academy. Mrs. Vailant believes that every student deserves a high quality education and is committed to the relentless pursuit of excellence for Cooper Dual Language Academy. An important concept that Mrs. Vailant ensures is to recognize the uniqueness of each individual child social and educational needs. She believes in a differentiated instructional approach to ensure every student reaches his/her potential.
Mrs. Vailant earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bilingual Elementary Education at Northeastern Illinois University. She also holds a Masters of Education in Instructional Leadership from the University of Illinois. Mrs. Vailant is also a National Board Certified teacher. In her free time, Mrs. Vailant loves being active outdoors (running, swimming or bike running), dancing and traveling to other countries.
