Olga L Daza joined the Cooper Dual Language Academy staff in 2003 and has been as a kindergarten bilingual teacher for the last 12 years. This is her thirteenth year as a teacher at Cooper, and her fourteenth year as a Chicago Public School teacher. Her teaching years have taken placed in the Pilsen neighborhood, which she feels honored and proud to be able to contribute to her Latino community, in educating the future of tomorrow: our students. Mrs. Daza has also taught middle school grades, 6th, 7th and 8th bilingual students at Orozco elementary school for a year and a half. Mrs. Daza believes that every student deserves a high quality education and is committed to the relentless pursuit of excellence for Cooper Dual Language Academy. She believes in a differentiated instructional approach to ensure every student reaches his/her potential.
Mrs. Daza earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Network Specialist at Robert Morris University in 2002. She earned her Masters of Arts degree in Elementary Education with an ESL and bilingual endorsement at Northern Illinois University in 2006. In her free time, Mrs. Daza loves to travel and learn from different multicultural diversity experiences, working out, taking long walks with her dog, and spend time with her family, singing and playing Latin music.
